Baptisms- If you would like to have your child baptised we would be
pleased to hear from you. Contact the Vicar on 01298 23629. Baptisms are
usually held on the second Sunday in the month at 2.00pm. We have a team of
baptism visitors who will call on you in the weeks before the Service to
explain the Service and commitment of parents and godparents.
Confirmations- Confirmation is the opportunity for a public profession of
faith. A Confirmation Service is usually held once per year in one of the
Deanery churches or the cathedral. Preparation classes for confirmation are
held for young people over the age of 10 and for adults as required.
Contact the Vicar for further information. We have a policy of admission to
Communion for children over the age of 7,once they have demonstrated a
regular commitment to church worship.
Marriages- Anyone who wishes to enquire about getting married at St.
Peter's should contact the Vicar.
Deaths- The Vicar is always available during times of bereavement.
If you wish to contact someone or require a visit please telephone the
Vicar on 01298 23629. St. Peter's churchyard is likely to be closed for new
burials in the near future. However, it will remain open to burials in
existing plots and for the interment of Ashes after cremation.
Confession- The Sacrament of Penitence and Reconciliation is available
by arrangement with the Vicar.
